Spring 2004
Soil: The soil that they collected smelled like rotten fish. It was mushy and rocky. It feels like wet sand. It also has a light brown color.
Water: Water was dark and cold. It looks like there are many species swimming in the water. Water temperature was 66 degrees to 70 degrees F. The water also smelled.
PH of Water = 8.75
Dissolved Oxygen = 6.5 ppm
Fall 2004
Water tests Water was very cold. It was cloudy and had a fishy smell.
pH = 7.5
Temperature at the surface= 60 °F.
Temperature at the bottom=61°F.
Soil It was brown and gray the soil smelled feels like rocks, sand and dirt the texture is mostly rocks.
Animals Crab (2cm), shrimp (2cm), tadpoles (1cm), clam (5cm), and a minnow (5cm)
Spring 2002
Soil rough and rocky, blackish, brown, sepia, nasty, thick and weedy, not pleasant
Water The water was green and brown. The water was cloudy because we got the sample from low tide. It had a gross smell. Surface- 79°F Bottom- 76°F, Dissolved Oxygen 7 ppm, pH 8.5
Fall 2002
Soil It smells fishy and was a smoky color. The soil was very dry, and rich. It also was chunky looking.
Dissolved Oxygen: 9 ppm
Ph in water: 6
Bottom: 73 degrees Fahrenheit Top: 67 degrees Fahrenheit
The water color is a blue brown. It was high tide and it smelled like fish.
Living Things We found grass shrimp.
